$31.40 - $54.94

Overlake Hospital Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a full time EEG Technician or Technologist. The EEG Tech performs electro-encephalographic, Ambulatory EEG and evoked potential testing procedures as ordered by physicians.  Ensures accurate and timely billing for procedures.

  • Perform EEG (Electroencephalographic procedures
  • Perform Evoked Potential procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for EEG procedures.
  • Follow the policies, procedures, and practices outlined in the Code of Conduct and Organizational Ethics policy.

1.0 FTE (80 hour bi-weekly pay period)

8 - 10 Hour Shifts

Must be able to work shared weekends on-call.

Qualifications
 

EEG Technician:

  • One of the following is required with the highest level of education subject to verification:
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology preferred; OR
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in EEG (CAAHEP ND Program Graduate). Must be registry eligible.; OR
  • Current enrollment in an accredited EEG program (CAAHEP ND Program Enrolled). Student must be in second year of program and completed all neurodiagnostic competencies.  Must be registry eligible upon graduation.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • Registered EEG Technologist by The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) is required within 1 year of hire.
  • Computer skills required. Hospital database (EPIC) preferred.
  • One year previous experience as and EEG Technologist or other clinical patient care experience required.  Acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Potential exposure to facility borne infection. Use of gloves, gowns, masks, and goggles required as stated in process standards. Work is performed in well-lit, climate controlled environment.
  • Must possess sufficient flexibility to attach electrodes to patients regardless of position/condition. Must be able to transport EEG equipment to various units.

EEG Technologist: 

  • Sufficient for Registry eligibility. Associate's degree preferred. 
  • Registered EEG Technologist by The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) strongly preferred. If registry eligible, must become registered within one year of employment.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • One year previous experience as an EEG Technologist required, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Computer skills required. Hospital database (EPIC) preferred.
  • Potential exposure to facility borne infection. Use of gloves, gowns, masks, and goggles required as stated in process standards. Work is performed in well-lit, climate controlled environment.
  • Must possess sufficient flexibility to attach electrodes to patients regardless of position/condition. Must be able to transport EEG equipment to various units.

EEG Technologist II: 

  • Sufficient for Registry eligibility. Associate's degree preferred. 
  • Registered EEG Technologist by The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) is required.  CLTM (Continuous Long Term Monitoring) certification is also required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • One year previous experience as an EEG Technologist required, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Computer skills required. Hospital database (EPIC) preferred.
  • Potential exposure to facility borne infection. Use of gloves, gowns, masks, and goggles required as stated in process standards. Work is performed in well-lit, climate controlled environment.
  • Must possess sufficient flexibility to attach electrodes to patients regardless of position/condition. Must be able to transport EEG equipment to various units.
