Hourly$22.22 - $33.33

Provides support services within Medical Imaging in a variety of capacities, including reception, chart preparation, digital image management including query retrieve, digital image sharing, and archived image management/retrieval.  Patient Access Coordinators greet patients, acquire patient/exam information, all applicable consent forms and paperwork, and enter data into Epic.  Answer incoming phone calls/voice mails and provide support to leadership, physicians, and staff.  Ensure exemplary customer service in greeting and orientation of patients and visitors.  Interviews the patient for complete demographic and financial data to complete the registration process accurately, efficiently and promptly.  Collects appropriate monies, obtains appropriate signatures, notifies patients/guests of hospital regulations, policies and services. 

Lead Responsibilities:

  • Review and daily audit of medical imaging registration input to check for errors and ensure necessary corrections
  • Be accountable for employee schedules and vacation requests as directed by supervisor
  • Responsible for arranging coverage for unscheduled PTO request coverage
  • Communicate regularly with all imaging front desk locations.
  • Be an available resource for all imaging sites.
  • Be the liaison between the department leadership and staff.
  • Buy-in and model the hospital/departments mission, vision, goals and initiatives. 
  • Review timecards as needed.
  • Provide input for hiring, corrective action, and termination process as requested.

Full Time / Days

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations is preferred.

  • Previous admission/registration experience or previous physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting preferred.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to interview, educate and advise patients of hospital policies and professionalism to positively interact with other Overlake personnel are required.  Demonstrated customer service skills also required.  Knowledge of the financial requirements of insurance, HMO and PPO organizations and state and federal programs highly desired.  Epic experience also preferred.  Basic keyboarding and phone skills required.  Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced area, where the performance and concentration on several tasks may be required simultaneously.
