Pay range:

$71,906.00 - $107,869.00

The Leave Program Specialist is responsible for administering all leave programs, including leaves related to FMLA, the Washington State Paid Family and Medical Leave, company specific leaves, short-term disability and long term disability.  This includes talking with employees about their leave options, administrative tracking and record keeping, vendor management, and implementation of new processes and programs.

If selected, you will serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all leaves.  Ongoing responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance to employees considering a leave and supporting them while on a leave;
  • Keeping managers abreast of an employee’s leave status and facilitating the employee’s return to work.
  • Working with third party leave administrator (UNUM) in the administrative of leaves.
  • Tracking leaves due to an on-the-job illness or injury for OSHA compliance.
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed correctly, calculating workers comp off-set payments and short-term disability off-set payments in the timecard and monitoring employees’ return to work.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in the administration of leaves of absence required.
  • Experience working in HRIS systems and time-keeping systems required. (Workday and UKG preferred).
  • Experience handling large volumes of leaves preferred (i.e. greater than 100 ongoing continuous leaves)
  • Experience working in healthcare/hospitals preferred
  • Additional experience in benefits, employee relations, compensation or other HR areas desirable.
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHR - CP/SCP certification is a plus
