Pay range:

$106,870.00 - $170,976.00

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA is currently seeking an engaged, motivated leader to oversee our infection prevention programs. This critical position reports to our Director of Quality, Safety & Reliability.

This management role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining an organized and effective program for Infection Control and prevention program in the hospital and for Overlake Medical Clinics, LLC.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Continually assess and improve care and services provided to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of customers.  Foster continuous quality improvement by leading teams in use of quality management tools and processes.
  • Implement and enforce the Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate all infection prevention and control and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of prevention and/or control activities and interventions.  Maintain Infection Prevention risk assessments and policies and procedures.  Coordinate the investigation/evaluation of patient and employee exposures to infectious diseases.
  • Identify and implement updates to the Infection Prevention Program when new regulations and/or professional guidelines are published. Provide expert consultation while working collaboratively with department managers, directors and administration to evaluate and implement facility-wide environmental safety as it relates to infection prevention, sanitation and aseptic practices.
  • Design, implement and oversee an infection surveillance program that effectively identifies, controls and abates infectious disease outbreaks, clusters and unusual occurrences of infections.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred. Master's preferred.
  • RN license in Washington state is preferred.
  • Certification in Infection Control preferred.
  • Four (4) years minimum of experience in infection prevention and control in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Two (2) years of management experience or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization required. Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and ability to bring projects to conclusion. Presentation skills also required.
