Pay range:
$40.32 - $60.48Responsible for technical oversight of all hospital point of care (POC) testing. Responsible for performing laboratory testing, evaluating laboratory data for quality and accuracy and, for performing related tasks including but not limited to inventory, specimen collection, training and competency assessments, quality control and reagent/instrument preparation. Performs process improvement activities and implements new policies and programs in conjunction with the Lab Director and leadership team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or the Biological Sciences required. If applicable, evidence of foreign degree equivalency required.
- 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist or experience specific to a needed area of expertise required (generalist preferred).
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)-Medical Technologist (MT)
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) -Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- National Certification Agency (NCA) –Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
- Medical Laboratory Technologist, CSMLS, Canada
- OR, a single certification such as hematology (H(ASCP)), chemistry (C(ASCP)), microbiology (M(ASCP)) or molecular biology (MB(ASCP)).
- Knowledge of all hospital laboratory regulatory standards as regulated by CAP, DOH, CLIA, Joint Commission, OSHA, WISHA required.
- Knowledge of laboratory information system including automated interfaced instruments preferred.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and articulately with all levels across the organization verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to set and meet goals and timelines.
- Good customer service skills
- Good technical and mechanical trouble-shooting skills
- Lean, Six Sigma training or certification preferred
