Overlake Medical Center & Clinics has a new opportunity in our Clinical Education Department for Life Support Training Coordinator.
Part time (.6 FTE - 48 hours bi-weekly pay period)
8-hour shifts
This position will be responsible for administration and coordination of training for life support courses: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). This includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and compliance reporting. This role will also provide instruction for BLS courses.
Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinate Life Safety course programs and activities to meet Overlake Medical Center's regulatory requirement and patient care needs. Course administration responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- scheduling of classes, rooms and instructors.
- utilizing learning management system for consistent enrollment, tracking and reporting maintaining records for students and instructors.
- reporting compliance ensuring equipment is functional and adequate supplies are available.
- providing room set up and clean up as needed.
- traveling to and transporting training equipment and supplies to on-site classes.
Promote quality programs by:
- Monitoring instructor skill as appropriate and providing feedback to management.
- Ensure compliance with AHA regulatory agencies.
- Evaluate staff satisfaction with courses provided.
- Complete needs assessments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Healthcare provider CPR certification required. Certification as an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor is required within three months of hire. Training Center faculty for BLS preferred,
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in adult education, teaching, program planning, coordination and evaluation processes required. Acute Healthcare setting experience preferred.
