Pay range:
$50.78 - $82.28An Ultrasound Technologist works with the Medical Imaging management and medical director to develop operating policies and procedure. The person in this role is responsible for performing the diagnostic and interventional exams within these established guidelines. The Ultrasound Technologist serves as a role model and resource within the department.
Per Diem / Day Shift
Department: Breast Health
Available Shifts: Monday-Friday 0800-1630 or 0830-1700
Qualifications:
Ultrasound Tech I
- AA through an accredited Ultrasound program required. BA/BS degree preferred.
- ARDMS registry-eligible. RDMS required within 1 year of employment, with successful completion of the physics registry, and a minimum of one specialty exam, E.g. AE, OB or abdomen
- RVT required within 1 year of employment
- When RDMS or RDCS is obtained, annual renewal is required by Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification.
- Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Minimum 6 months previous supervisory experience required for lead technologist responsibilities.
- Requires 30 CME credits every 3 years. (triennium)
Ultrasound Tech II
- AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited ultrasound or echo program, or satisfactory completion of a formal military or hospital-based ultrasound training program required.
- RDMS (Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer from the CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registry is required. Requires successful completion of a minimum of 1 physics registry exam, and a minimum of one specialty exam, E.g. Echo, OB or abdomen. Annual renewal of RDMS or RVS required by Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification.
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) advanced certification required.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Previous vascular experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred for lead position.
