Compassionate Care for Every Life We Touch

Pastoral Care Volunteers will provide volunteer service to support our mission of compassionate care for every life we touch; provide spiritual care, comfort and support to patients and family members. Pastoral Care Volunteers will routinely visit patient floors as assigned and share in the on-call responsibilities as needed.

Pastoral Care Volunteer Requirements:

• Experience in Pastoral Care is preferred. 

• Mature and able to function within a medical environment.

• Able to provide empathetic listening, and offer warmth, compassion, and sensitivity to the needs of patients, families, guests and staff.

• Comfortable with patient and family interactions, including situations encountered at or near the end of life.

• Grounded in one’s own faith, spirituality, or belief system while maintaining a commitment to non-proselytizing while providing support.
